Dear Mr. Editor Sir.

Dear Mr. Editor Sir, I, personally think you are crazy (And every other kid who loves their cellphones) to ban cellphones, not to be rude or anything, but to be rude you don’t get a children's perspective of how they see things in life, so let me tell you right now. DON’T BAN CELLPHONES!! It’s as easy as that but of course, I need some evidence and reasoning and blah blah blah to back that up like always in school, thanks to Ms. Groves. If you're in middle school schedules change like a lot you sometimes even forget your homework or if you're supposed to walk home. First of all, it’s embarrassing to borrow someone's phone and if you don’t have a phone your parent has to either call your friend's phone and probably embarrass you, well with the iPhone something-something you can just text or call them right now!! (This is not an approved advertisement). Reason number… Two, I think, you always have homework on google docs to finish but you don’t have your computer

Summer Wish

I barely go outside during the summer, it’s a fact. My mom is too busy with work and I’m stuck inside. When I do go outside it’s like the best feeling ever, The hot air is filled with kids sweat and laughter. The cool air blows against my pale face as I look at kids around me. Then I go back inside And watch the window like it’s a television show that I can’t tear my face from the screen. Their tall long tan legs, It looks like the legs have been kissed by the sun gods as a blessing. Then, I look down at my tiny pale legs. I look at my reflection of myself out the window, Filled with disappointment and hate, I turn and stare at my book hard Wishing upon a star that I could go outside To the beach, pool, forest anywhere that has a Sun shining above me. But it's the middle of the day there is only one star out, And it's far from granting my wish. I think again, There's always next summer. (This is not a true story :)

Hot Cheeto

“Donna, can you pretty please buy me a bag of chips?” I begged her. “Sure I guess but you owe me ok?” She yelled across the screaming kids as she navigates through the maze of sweaty kids. My mind ponders about the spiciness of the Hot Cheeto and the crunchy texture. “Here you go” Donna sighed as she sat down with a huff. I knew she wasn’t super happy but I gave her a big hug and opened the bag of Cheetos. The scent hit me harder then I expected and started eating the chips slowly but my guts told me to shove it all in my mouth. I looked at Donna and said, “Hey, I’ll get you a bag tomorrow, I promise.” Hooking my pinkie with hers. “Deal” Donna replied happily munching on her fries. The next day at lunch, I got into the uneven lines of my classmates waiting to pay for our food, I grabbed Donna’s favorite kind of chips and punched in my lunch number. “Hey Donut” I yelled as I was a couple of feet away from the table, “Catch!” I threw the bags of chips in the air but not super high so the

Dear My One And Only

Dear My One And Only, You are my morning and night You make the star shine bright Oh how I love your beautiful smile You are always worthwhile I love how you glow in the sun You are my only one Your hair flips like shiny waves Just like on a wonderful summer day Oh how I wish we didn’t have to part For this is only the start Oh when the days are long I think of you as a lovely song You are an angel from above This is the part that I always loved I see you in school You always look so cool Walk with such style I wish I could stare for a while You always have such a beautiful smile That could go on for a mile You are so smart And ever so good at art You are my only muse I would never accuse of something harsh It would cause me so much pain That I could cry tears of rain For how long we have to part Even it’s a day or a night My memories of you are still bright You are sweeter than a treat I really love if we meet Just onc
